During the months of July - September there is an evening market every Thursday. The Spring fete is usually around the second weekend of May and you will find the streets full of stalls offering a wide variety of goods.

The Millau Bridge

This viaduct is the Tallest and the Longest. Taller than the Eiffel Tower!A magnificent feat of engineering,well worth a visit.

La Roucarie

Here you will find a small beach and plenty of water sports including canoing and fishing. Just up the road is the Centre Equest where you can hire horses and ponies.La Roucarie itself is a large resevoir; which if you wish you can walk around or just sit and enjoy the view; it is about 5 km from the village of Monesties and is very well signposted.


La Ferme Animaux de Bellvue

Situated between Cordes and Carmaux the farm offers a great variety of animals including Wallabies, Lamas, Pigs, sheep, rabbits,goats, donkeys and many others. You can spend a day there.You'll find restaurants, pig-roast,swimming pool and play-area.
