Travelling

You have several choices to make for your journey; Do I want to fly;do I want to take the train;or take my car on the train;where do I fly from and where is the nearest airport?Or you could drive all the way: I hope I can give you some help with your choices:

There are two airports that can be flown to for this part of France: The first is Rodez; which is about 60 km away; or there is Toulouse which is about 120km away; It all depends on where you catch the plane:

Another way is by train; there is the Eurostar; SNCF or Motorail:all of these trains start from a station in London; The Eurostar takes you to Paris or Lille where you have to change trains:Toulouse is the main station for this area; but there is a local train that comes to Carmaux from Toulouse:

The other choice is of course the drive: The roads are excellent; some are toll roads; but not all: The nearest autoroute to us is the N88 to Albi and Toulouse: The road signs are very clear:

The choice of airports and different airlines

Ryanair fly from London Stanstead to Rodez: It takes about 90mins for the flight:
EasyJet fly from Bristol to Toulouse and Flybe fly from Birmingam to Toulouse:
